How PetGuide checks and corrects its guides
Our guides are for Hong Kong pet owners making a real outing or travel decision. Here is what our review labels mean.
What the labels mean
- Source review: the cited government or operator material was checked on the displayed date. This does not mean we visited the place, tested the trip or obtained veterinary approval.
- Venue visit: used only when a visit date, observations and original evidence can be supplied. The current restaurant shortlists are directory leads.
- Needs confirmation: the source is old, inaccessible, contradictory or does not answer the exact question. We identify the gap instead of treating it as verified.
We prioritise the rule that changes your plan: the permitted area, exact sailing, pet fare, carrier size, deadline or return condition. Automated imports and working source links do not by themselves prove those details. AI may assist drafting and checks; a review label describes the evidence used, not a professional accreditation.
Corrections belong on the affected page, with the date and a short explanation. Report a problem through Support with the page link, the disputed detail and an official notice or recent first-hand evidence. A new visit, price change or operator notice is a reason to check again; a routine build is not a reason to change a review date.
